Brush Cleaning
One of the biggest consequences of tree growth is that of brush forming below your trees. When trees begin to shed their leaves, or needles, those things fall to the ground below the trees. If this isn’t picked up, and maintained, it creates a thick blanket of muck. What’s worse, if it rains on top of it, this created a nearly unmanageable mess. To remedy this, we can come out and make sure that your brush is regularly cleaned. Let our brush cleaning services be a routine part of your tree maintenance.
Controlled Burns One of the ways that we can effectively remove all of your brush is to do controlled burns. In this process, we will get clearance from your local fire department and block out a burn radius. Once that is taken care of, we will put up protective barriers so that the flames do not jump to anywhere that we do not want them to go. Once all protections are in place, we will go about burning your brush; turning it to a more manageable ash. This ash can then be shoveled up, and disposed of properly. Brush Removal If we do not get a clearance to burn in your area, brush will need to be removed of in a more systematic way. Without a burn, we can remove brush with shovels, machetes and a host of other tools. If the brush is not too thick, we can simply rake it up and dispose of it. However, if you haven’t had your brush cleaned in a good while, it will need to be broken down, either with the chopping of a blade, or shovel. Once the brush is broken down, it is easier to bag up and get rid of. Tree Care Of course, brush is the result of not taking care of your trees properly. With regular pruning, most brush can be avoided. We have a lot of experience in this field, and we know how to assess what kind of leaves and needles are ready to be removed and shed. By pruning your trees, we can make sure that only the minimum amount of brush makes it to the ground. Having only little amounts of brush to pick up, and get rid of, makes the job a lot quicker for us, and cheaper for you! Consequences of Not Removing If you are not removing brush from the ground, you are stacking the odds against your safety. Because we have incredibly hot temperatures in Florida, uncared for brush present a pretty big risk of fire. Brush is highly flammable and, should even one, little piece of it ignite, it can cause a devastating fire. For this reason, we highly encourage you to have routine brush clean ups done. Beyond that, even in rainy season, leftover brush can become a nuisance. Thick brush, when wet, creates a heavy blanket of filth that looks unkempt and can be a real eyesore on your property. |
